Pastor Marvin Winans has finally spoken out and allegedly says maybe his status can help bring a change to work for those whom are not of his stature, in so many words. He then went on to say possibly this is why this happened to him and we partly agree. Yes there was a reason it happened so things change, but not because of who he is. We do not think that any person is above anybody else and can think of themselves as being a person of a higher class than the rest in our society, that is a spirit of pride. In Proverbs 16:18, it says, 'Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.' In 2 Corinthians 10:17 - But, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." In Isaiah 5:21 - "Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight."
Respectively, when will Pastor Marvin Winans and others whom have such a prestigious position as a gospel artist or a pastor learn God hates the spirit of pride? He and many prominent ones should recognize the reason why he was attacked, because God is trying to forewarn he and others to come down as celebrities and win souls into His Kingdom. He wants them to depart and separate from their celebrity associates whom do not care about those in need. You have to be a down to earth person in order win souls whom are homeless, drug dealers, prostitutes and others. No pastor or gospel artist should ever admit they are in such stature to possibly change things, that won't change things, only Jesus Christ can change things. Do you see why many souls are still lost out in the world? There is too much alleged pride among those in the higher ranks of the church and within the gospel music industry and God is so tired of it.
Let us teach those whom are in such prestigious high positions in the church, God has called many but few are chosen. In Matthew 22:14, it says, "For many are called, but few are chosen." God has those chosen few whom are not working their ministries in the spirit of pride and those are the ones whom realize they are not higher than everyday people and very down to earth as men and women of God. God is not pleased with those in ministry whom have the audacity to admit they are elevated among others whom are not in their position and so fortunate to be recognized by the police to take action against crime. It does not matter what status a person possesses, they cannot avoid trouble and should not ever think they are too high to offer Jesus Christ to those whom are ranked in the lower class within our society. Only preaching holiness and living it can cause people to change not who you are or what you own. We hope Pastor Marvin Winans will acknowledge that God is not using his status, but He wants to use him for His glory to win the very ones whom carjacked him and many other lost souls to Christ, and that's it.
