Bishop Joseph Walker Hit With Another Sexual Misconduct Lawsuit

A former church member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Corey Corbin, filed a $5 million lawsuit against Bishop Joseph Walker on Thursday. Corbin is claiming that the Bishop 'ruined Corbin’s marriage by sleeping with Corbin’s former wife, Kesha Moore.' The couple are reported to have went to counseling "specifically marital counseling for sexual problems." Source

Mega Church Leader Bishop Joseph Walker Sued For Sexual Assault On Four Women | AT2W

A woman suing Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville is speaking out about why she filed the lawsuit. "I believe that it was time for me to say something," said Valencia Batson. She and three others, who remain anonymous, are suing their former church for $5 million.

"I felt like I was dead. A walking person that had no life that was spiritually bound. My soul was in turmoil," said Batson.
The lawsuit that was filed claims church leaders "participated in sexual exploitation in counseling, sexual battery, aggravated sexual battery and sexual harassment, assault and false imprisonment."

"It's wrong. It's not the right thing to be happening -- especially in a place like a church," said Batson.

Bishop Joseph Walker III, the pastor of the megachurch in Nashville with more than 20,000 members, is named in the suit as well as five other Mt. Zion church leaders. His church issued a ...
