Agile Electric Cars Ease Traffic Congestion

The car that uses electric power numbers continue to grow this year. The latest an electric vehicle is the creation of France manufacturer Renault named Twizy.

It's even smaller than Daimler's Smart and runs entirely on electric power. Renault's new Twizy shows the limits of E-mobility technology and may be the perfect city vehicle. But at almost 8,000 euros without doors or battery, the price tag isn't nearly as small as the car itself.

In the 1990s, the idea of stripping down automobiles as far as possible resulted in the Smart, Daimler's spherical two-seater that is now considered the epitome of a city car.

Twizy presence in the European electric car market since three years ago, after its first debut as a prototype in 2009.

The concept of electric cars Renault Twizy designed as a solution for the challenges of mobility needs of the cities. This little car is also considered as a replacement Renault motorcycle or scooter that is less secure. Because the car is very compact, agile, and practical.

The Twizy runs on electricity alone. Renault offers a powerful version with 13 kilowatts, which can reach speeds of 80 kilometers per hour (50 miles per hour) and requires its driver to hold a valid driver's license (possible in Germany at the age of 18). A second version of the vehicle is restricted to 45 kph (28 mph) with power 5 hp and 33 Nm of torque and can be operated by drivers as young as 16.
