Ex Faithful Central Bible Church Member Comes Forward After New Report

Hinterland Gazette has released more information about those who were caught up in the sex scandal at Bishop Kenneth Ulmer's church. Now, since the report was released this week, a mother has come forward with her chilling story.
Attention: This story is very disturbing.

It was during the month of August in the year 2001 that a mother’s life was changed forever. This mother would discover, after believing her child was sick with flu-like symptoms, they had actually contracted the HIV virus. During an interview she was asked, “How did you come to discover your child had contracted the deadly disease?” She answered, “The doctor felt compelled to tell me.”
It would be a matter of 8 years before the child would actually succumb to the AIDS virus, but the story doesn’t stop there.
“I brought my child to Faithful Central Bible Church at the age of 14,” shared the mother – whose name won’t be disclosed for privacy reasons.
While attending Faithful Central, she forced her child to participate in the youth ministries, but there would consistently be resistance. Although her child did not want to participate in the “Christian Discipleship Fraternity or Sorority” they would not divulge the activities which occurred in the group. During their time of attendance, a new Youth Pastor would take over the ministry, Pastor
Troyvoi Hicks. The former Youth Pastor, previous to Hicks, had abruptly left Faithful Central and moved to Atlanta, GA.
After seeing our report in the Hinterland Gazette the mother of this child felt a strong need to reconnect with another witness and this would eventually lead her to share her story.

Author's Down Low Ex Husband Left Bishop Kenneth Ulmer's Church to Commit More Sex Crimes

We want to thank our friends at Hinterland Gazette for a thorough taking of this sex scandal detailed in a Ingrid Michelle's book "Life After The Down Low".  Apparently, there is much more detailed from the sex scandal that didn't end at the Bishop's church but found its way from the Los Angeles, Ca area to the Oakland Bay Area. Since many pastors are good at hiding and covering scandal until it bursts at the seams, this is why the culprits can move forward and prey on more innocent children. There's a true lesson in the story/interview you will hear that saddens many but it is high time people start dealing with scandal in the church and reporting it to the authorities. We pray this book helps everyone who puts their hands on it.

Troyvoi Hicks, central figure in the book LIFE AFTER THE DOWN LOW, written by his ex-wife – Ingrid Michelle – was never reported to authorities when substantiated allegations of his molesting young parishioners at the Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, CA – Bishop Kenneth Ulmer, Pastor – was revealed to its leadership.
Instead of the Church Leadership ensuring the protection of its young children by contacting the proper legal authorities – the Youth Pastors and others embroiled in this sex scandal – were allowed to leave the congregation of their own free will and without any form of monitoring.

While Bishop Kenneth Ulmer has never really set right in our spirits from the start, we might now know why that was the case. He was the pastor of secular gospel artists Mary Mary and we have always preached that this new age gospel music would cause some serious issues of lust and misconduct in the church. 

Well, thank God for some real discernment from our staff. This alleged cover up proves that some of what was revealed in this book sheds some light on the sexual misdeeds in the church and more than we can comprehend.

It was all written in a book where the names where changed to protect the guilty, but the guilty need to be exposed because children’s lives were damaged and they will NEVER be the same again.

In the book entitled, LIFE AFTER THE DOWN LOW, Ingrid Michelle, the pen name of Ingrid Ellis, reveals a detailed account of sexual scandal that occurred at a very prominent church she attended with her then husband and Youth Pastor, Troyvoi (aka: “Bobby”) Hicks. Hicks, after watching a television program one evening with his wife sighed deeply and nervously confessed that he had exchanged “oral sex” with another man.  The “other man” he exchanged “oral sex” with was EJ Hunter (aka: “Elliot”) who was in his youth group and whom Hicks had mentored.

EJ was considered to have had a “dancer’s body” which enticed a number of younger girls and adult women.  He himself had been molested as a child and it was rumored had also been “emasculated by his mother.”

Troyvoi Hicks, a notable and accomplished educator was also the Youth Pastor of Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, CA under the senior leadership of Bishop Kenneth Ulmer (aka: “Pastor Dwight Carter); world-wide and world-respected leader. After the scandal of sexual impropriety with minors surfaced, Bishop Ulmer did what many high profile pastors do when scandal breaks out in their congregations, he covered it up.
The contents of the book LIFE AFTER THE DOWN LOW reveals the sexual scandal which occurred at this well-known church while maintaining the anonymity of its key perpetrators. However, after investigating the story further, many of the witnesses to the events have found it necessary to reveal the party’s true identities.
