In this case of several priests child molestation in a Philadelphia ministry, 3 have been returned while 5 will be removed for their sexual misconduct with minors, allegedly. Whatever the case, we think this is horrible, because accusations involving child molestation in the church seems not to stop. It does not matter what denomination, we continue to hear news that priests, pastors, bishops and evangelists are allegedly attracted to young children. This case in Philadelphia is reaching back to previous years, but we know this pattern of child molestations continues to occur within many churches across the nation and possibly abroad today. We have several questions as to why these grown people whom are church leaders feel the need to touch innocent children.
Our first question is this, why sin? The Bible clearly instructs the body of Christ not to fornicate, commit adultery or even be involved with homosexuality. These ministers whom are prominent church leaders in various denominations refuse to obey God's Word that opposes sin. Second question, why is it such a popular thing among adults in the ministry to molest children? Many of these priests whom allegedly molested young boys, so it would make sense if they feel the burning desire to sin, to just seek satisfaction with an adult, rather than to mess up the life of an innocent child. However, God does not condone sin of any kind. Third question, specifically in the Catholic church many priests were not suppose to ever marry, so why is this an alleged ancient regulation? We do not know why it is a rule. However, it would make sense to change that rule and allow priests to marry the opposite sex, so Satan does not deceive them into having unlawful sex with minors. The Bible says in I Cor. 7:9, 'it is better to marry than to burn.' Therefore, it would be very wise for them to marry the opposite sex, in this case wives and leave children alone. Fourth question, many ministers whom are not clergy members of the catholic church are also accused of child molestation and many of them are married, why are they attracted to young children? We feel that they have been turned over to a reprobate mind, because they refuse to totally surrender to God. Therefore, it does not make any difference if they are married or not, they are just as bad as the priests in the catholic church whom have allegedly destroyed the lives of innocent children by fulfilling their lustful desires. Fifth question, when will child molestation ever end within many churches and among clergy members? We must fast and pray against this demonic spirit, just like any other sinful nature that has been so widely accepted in society. It is up to us, the body of Christ to unite, fast and pray, so these priests and ministers of any other denomination will fully repent and submit to the throne of God. It can be something of the past, but we as saints have not united enough to pray against it.
We pray that these five priests and many others whom have been accused of alleged child molestation fully surrender their souls to God, it is not to late to turn around and get it right. Also, we pray for other ministers of various denominations to repent and to stop molesting children and completely repent and surrender their souls to God before it is everlasting too late.
