When you hear the late father of Pastor Joel Osteen, John Osteen speak about receiving the Holy Ghost, you will realize we have not been spiritually fed through his son's ministry in the same way. Pastor John Osteen was a holy man and he was not ashamed about mentioning the importance of receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It is so scary to hear the late father of Joel Osteen on the first following video talk about how the church world has lost sight of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, signs, wonders and miracles. Therefore, you will see how Satan is allegedly deceiving through the modern day ministries of Joel Osteen and many other like him today. Thousands of people are being motivated, but it does not seem like they are receiving the same message similar to the late John Osteen and that is, the importance of being filled with the Holy Ghost, the evidence of speaking in tongues.
Now, of course, we do not go to Lakewood Church, but some of the sermons by Joel Osteen we have heard on television does not compare to his father, the late John Osteen. We sincerely believe John Osteen would roll over in his grave if he knew people were allegedly hearing more sermons about motivation instead of more sermons about the Holy Ghost. Yes, of course you can be motivated, but absolutely not without the Holy Ghost, who is the keeper and comforter of our souls and without the Holy Ghost, we cannot survive in our Christian walk, plain and simple. In I Thess. 1:5, 'For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the holy ghost.' Also in Acts 1:8, it says, 'But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.' Furthermore, if you go to our source, you will see, there are over 100 scriptures in the Word of God that speak about the Holy Ghost; therefore, it ought to be mentioned more into today's church very often.
On this following first video, you will hear the late Pastor John Osteen talk about how much the church changed back then, but he would be very shocked of how much his own church has changed under his son's leadership as pastor of Lakewood church. You will also hear Pastor John Osteen mention why there were no signs, wonders and miracles and it is even much worst in this era, after his death. It is such a shame we do not hear similar sermons through his son, speaking about the Holy Ghost or even hear Joel Osteen speaking in unknown tongues on television, maybe we missed it.
