Latino and Black Church Pastors Met At Defense of Marriage Summit To Say Gay Marriage Not a 'Civil Right'

Pastors of the black an Latino churches met at an event called, 'Defense of Marriage Summit' in Washington, D. C.   We think this is a very big and positive step in the right direction to show that we as Christians still have strong morals and values based on biblical principles.  We positively feel that if pastors of the Latino and black churches remain strong in unity against this issue, God will win the battle against this demonic force that has spread across America and even abroad.   Bishop Harry Jackson who is the pastor of Hope Christian Church stands strong in leading the group among other panelists against immorality in this country.

We agree with Bishop Harry Jackson, we say enough is enough.  However, pastors like Emmit Burns whom claim not to believe in same sex marriage, but yet voting for President Obama are a danger to the Defense Marriage Summit and should not be a part of the movement.  Why should a pastor admit he or she agrees with biblical principles against same-sex marriage, but yet are supporting a president who may make things much worse than it already is, if he should remain in office after this coming presidential election?   We cannot afford to have wavered views among us.   We must remain strong on what we believe and no longer vote based on race.   If we continue to have people like Pastor Burns or even Pastor Jamal Bryant hanging around groups whom oppose same sex marriage, then their imbalanced decisions will be toxic to others.   Therefore, we hope and pray that the leaders of Defense Marriage Summit make a wise decision to spread that fact.  In Proverbs, 11:1, the Bible clearly states that both pastors, Burns and Bryant are committing an abomination, which is very similar to homosexuality:  'A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.'  Also in James 1:8, it says this: 'A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.'  Therefore, Pastor Emmit Burns and others like him should cease the organization.   Note: You will see Pastor Emmit Burns on this following video among those at the Defense Marriage Defense.

President Obama energized part of his base when in a recent ABC News interview he spoke the words gay, lesbian and transgender activists have been pushing for.

"I think same sex couples should be able to get married," the president told ABC News' Robin Roberts in a May 9 interview.

Nearly a month later, the quote is displayed prominently on his campaign website, along with a YouTube video narrated by...Read full article, here.
