Among the average family between children, teens and adults, there seems to be a lack of respect. Adults are no longer in the position of authority and are often rebuked by children or even teens and young adults whom act as though they are older enough to correct their elders. Many parents are so afraid to discipline there children, they have chosen to become their buddy to avoid conflict. There is a reason why many children, whether they be white or black, rich or poor are killing their parents, lately. We feel God is holding spiritual leaders whom should be reaching out witnessing to children and their parents accountable for not doing so. The average minister within the black or white church is seeking status over a mega ministry, instead of walking the streets to pass out tracts and witnessing to lost souls. The wave of mega ministries seems to be the focus of many ministers whom grew up in a time when it was unnecessary to keep up with the biggest church. Back in the early days, ministers of the black church and even those whom were white were on fire for God. Entertainment used to bring in tithes and offerings was not the norm among many congregations in the early days. Therefore, we have rebellious teens like Kit Darant killing their parents, because the lack of witnessing to troubled youth and their parents has ceased the average neighborhood.
Back in the early days before the 21st century, Pentecostal, Baptist and even AME preachers would stand their ground and were not afraid to reach out to those whom lived in some of the worst neighborhoods. Parents were not afraid of their children and children were afraid to disrespect their parents. Although, God did speak of a day when children would turn against their parents in 2 Timothy 3:2 and Matthew 10:21 describes this case of Kat Darant killing his mother, we really feel God has been expecting ministers to step down from their pulpits and go out witnessing to many households that have been controlled by demonic forces. Many pastors of mega ministries are just wanting to become celebrities and superstars while showing up in front of their fans, getting much adoration, instead of stepping down and going out giving a Word to many troubled families. The mother of Kit Darant should not have had to die in the hands of her own son she bore for 9 months. Renette Emile's body should not have been decomposed in her own home where she paid rent and took care of her household. She should not have had to raise her rebellious son alone without a father in the home to help discipline him. Therefore, where are all the voices in the pulpits of the black church enforcing values for black men to take care of the women they impregnate and remain to in the household to help raise them? What happened to all of the sermons that instilled christian values for men and women to remain together in holiness while teaching their children how to be Christians and not rebel against their moralistic instructions? Renette Emile should not have had to place her son in boot camp, because she no doubt felt flustered as a single black mother. The foundation of biblical values has ceased black families, because many black preachers are mainly focused on growing a mega ministry and gaining their celebrity status like the next rich and famous preacher.
Another thing, instead of Rev. Al Sharpton and other civil rights leaders just marching against racial discrimination, we need more preachers to march out and from door to door to witnessed to these parents and their children to make sure things like this do not occur. There are too many cases of rebellious children killing their parents, both black and white and these ministers ought not just to be preaching about prosperity, they ought to be teaming up together to go out counseling to single black mothers whom are having trouble raising their kids.
May this killer's mother rest in peace and we really do hope and pray he finds Jesus Christ and lives for Him.

Kit Durant, 16, Confesses To Killing His Mother, Reportedly Lives With Her Body For More Than A Week (VIDEO)
A 16-year-old has confessed to killing his mother after her decomposing body was found Wednesday night on the 1800 block of NE 191 Street, according to Miami-Dade Police.After concerned calls from a boyfriend who hadn't seen the woman in more than a week, police found 35-year-old Renette Emile dead inside a bedroom on Jade Winds Apartments' fourth floor with "obvious signs of decomposition," police say.
Her 16-year-old son Kit Durant and his 3-year-old brother had been living in the apartment for more than a week with their mother's corpse, reports WSVN7.
