Now that a gunman is in custody for the school shooting, which occurred today at Oikos University in Oakland, CA., one maybe wondering how this could take place at a christian school. It is like a few previous tragedies we heard about that happened at various churches, Satan did not care about it being a sacred place, he just wanted to show that he could roam the earth whenever and wherever he wanted to as our scripture tells us in God's Word: 'And the LORD said unto Satan, From where come you? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it' (Job 1:7). Yes, we can bind the Devil, pray for God's protection and pray against such tragedies before they occur. However, we do not know what went wrong in this specific case neither do we know if people were praying before and during this school shooting, all we know is that students were taking courses when gunfire were heard by various students. This is why it is very important for people whom take (college) courses on any school campus or even on the job to always stay prayed up, many attendees of today's average modern age church may say otherwise.
One of our journalists whom used to attend a very popular mega church in Atlanta allegedly stated on the first day of orientation, she questioned why Satan acts up whenever she prays to herself while at work. In response, the minister allegedly bluntly replied, 'pray at home'. This is the type of age we are living in among modern day mega churches and possibly many christian schools do not think it is necessary to pray while on campus. However, this is why no matter how bad things may seem while you are praying to yourself, do not stop praying neither should you listen to any wicked advice that says to just pray at home. That does not make sense after acknowledging anything tragic could occur, no matter where you are. Just because this is a christian college, it does not mean Satan is not there to work through someone whom proclaims salvation nor does it mean he is not there to cause trouble for those whom are honestly yearning to achieve their degree. However, we do think it is very horrible that such a tragedy would occur on a christian campus, a place where many desire to avoid much evil from sinful individuals. If this shooter was previously expelled or just voluntarily resigned from the christian university, then obviously there was some sort of confrontation that could not come to a peaceful resolution. All because of some sort of animosity the shooter killed 5 people and four were treated at Highland hospital.
We pray for the students and teachers at Oikos University that God gives them strength during this time of grievance. In conclusion, we pray the shooter gives his soul to Jesus Christ and repents, before it is everlasting too late. Also our prayers are for the students whom are still alive, but recovering from wounds. May all the deceased victims rest in peace.

OAKLAND (KRON) -- One person is in custody after a shooting at an Asian Medicine school in Oakland that has left at least five people dead. Four other people are getting treatment at Highland Hospital for gunshot wounds.
"We do believe we have detained an individual responsible for the shooting at the college," Oakland police spokeswoman Johnna Watson said.
