The Soul singer traveled to Atlanta on Tuesday to attend this year's Trumpet Awards. Her father, Rev. C.L. Franklin born as Clarence LaVaughn Franklin, was recognized on this day for his civil rights work. The award will be received at the awards ceremony on Saturday.
