Is It Okay for A Christian To Attend a Family Member's Gay Wedding? Wake Up Black Church

The question today is, 'is it okay for born again Christians' to attend their family member's gay wedding?'  We say absolutely not, simply because when your relatives choose to oppose God's Word, they automatically are serving the Devil.  They are not in the family of God and if you agree with the Holy Bible that opposes homosexuality, it would make no sense for you to attend a gay wedding, even if it is your family member.   You see, in this era of the popular issue of same sex marriage, God is looking at your reaction.   Especially, in the black race, the average person has always believed the old myth is that there must be unity in black families and put up with anything just to get along, but if you are a child of God, there is no way to unite with family that accepts sin as right.  We are living in an evil day, saints of God and even if it means you separating from your kinfolk whom have opposed the Word of God, you must do so.  You must show God you love Him more than your relatives.

Many of your relatives may hate you for not being a follower, but it is not important whether like you or not, because as a child of the King, you are not a born follower, but you are indeed a born leader for complete righteousness.  It is time for African Americans whom are true followers of Christ, which are those whom are completely holy to be willing to love their family whom are gay, but help put an end to this movement of gay marriage in America by not supporting their decision to marry the same sex.   Just because he or she maybe your relative, you do not have to show you love them by attending their gay wedding, instead God would rather you show them love, by not supporting their gay marriage, because you will be saving them from hell.   You do not love your relative, if you are accepting their life long commitment with their partner, because you are ignoring the fact that we all have some place to go, after this life, either spending eternity with God or the Devil and his demons.   Therefore, we as followers of Christ are responsible for how we are responding to the issue of gay marriage.   If you even accept an invitation from a family member whom is going to have a gay wedding, you automatically have offended God and should repent.   If you are sent an invitation through the mail, you should instantly return it, whether it offends your relative or not, because you must think about how God feels about it and respect His desire for only men and women to marry.   If they hand you an invitation, you must avoid taking it.   If any of your relatives ask you about your refusal to accept a gay wedding invitation, you should respond, 'I am saved and I have no more to say about it'.  There is no reason to debate with your family about the issue, because really this is a life and death situation and the Bible has the last say.  What we mean about a life or death situation is this, in Romans 6:23, it says, 'For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.'

All pastors whom agree with God's Word that opposes homosexuality should now make it a habit of reminding their church members not to attend gay weddings when preaching their sermons, even if it is a family member.   We must now strengthen the body of Christ which is our true family by taking authority over this issue that has tried to dominate Christianity.   If we really desire for things to turn around in this country, we must help reverse gay marriage to God's original plan by avoiding unity even with our families whom may support a gay relative by attending their wedding.  The black church has always been the foundation for strengthening the family, but if they are now a gay affirming ministry, they have allegedly weakened the family and supported the population for African Americans to decline in the future.   Think about it dear brothers and sisters, if men and women refuse to naturally give birth to babies, then the bloodline has already been destroyed, just like AIDS has always been responsible for taking away lives of all ages in the black community, including within the black church.  Many pastors have left the biblical principles, in order to receive prestige and recognition by preaching what people like and not what may offend them, which is the truth about sin.  However, it is very good if pastors within the black church oppose gay marriages and refuse to do such ceremonies, but it would be even better to preach against family members whom attend their relatives gay wedding, even if it is their own child.   God is looking at the black church and every other church where other races attend and please take heed, because our lives are being documented on a daily basis in heaven.

The black preacher whom is holy and righteous should admit from the pulpit where he or she stands, that God never intended for the black race to get involve with another civil rights issue that opposes His Word.   The full gospel minister must admit that God never would create a race to repeat history and be willing to die for sin, after the death of Dr. Martin Luther King losing his life for equality for race.

When you get a chance, please watch Mary K. Baxter on our videos page who went on a tour with Jesus Christ to heaven and hell and in hell, she witnessed many lost souls in the lake of fire, especially made for gays and lesbians.  After listening to her testimony, ask yourself, 'am I showing my relative love by attending their gay wedding?'

Biblical Scriptures against Homosexuality

  •  1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
  • Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
  • Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
  • Romans 1:26-27 - "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."
