Flora and Fauna Preservation of Our Responsibility

Preserving the environment is a necessity that can not be postponed again and became the responsibility of every human being on earth.

Politically, the government's efforts to achieve a just and prosperous life without causing environmental damage, followed by preparing a sustainable development program called environmentally sound development. Environmentally sound development, known as sustainable development is an attempt to improve the quality of people is gradually taking into account environmental factors.

The concept of sustainable development is an agreement of the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. Flora and fauna are the natural wealth that can be updated and very useful to human life and other living creatures on earth. Life on earth is a system of interdependence between humans, animals, plants, and natural surroundings.

Dissolution of one link of the system will result in disruptions in life. Here are some of the efforts to preserve the flora and fauna.
  1. Wildlife Sanctuary.
    Wildlife Sanctuary is the protection given to the animals that are endangered. Example: tigers, komodos, tapirs, orang-utan, and so forth.
  2. Nature Reserve.
    The reserve is a protected place in terms of both plants and animals that live in it that can later be used for various purposes in the present and future. Example: Ujung Kulon Nature Reserve, Nature Reserve Way Kambas, etc.
  3. Forest Protection.
    Forest protection is the protection given to the forest to stay awake from damage. Example: protected forests, jungle tours, jungle hunting, and so on.
  4. National Park.
    National parks is the protection given to large areas, includes tourism facilities and infrastructure in it. For example Lorentz National Park, Komodo National Park, Mount Leuser National Park, etc.
  5. Marine Park / Marine Reserve.
    Marine park is protected by law as a technique to protect its sustainability efforts with a form of nature reserves, wildlife reserves, theme parks, etc.. Example: Bunaken Marine Park, Marine Park Taka Bonerate, Pantar Strait Marine Park, Marine Park Togean, and many other examples.
  6. Zoo / Botanical Garden.
