Rev. Al Sharpton Reportedly $5.3 Million in Debt

According to public records, the Rev. Al Sharpton is having some real financial issues with his National Action Network. Rev Al Sharpton was paid out nearly $242,000 even though it carried $1.6 million in debt, says The Post.

A total of $5.3 million is shown in public records to be in the red for the activist and Nation Action Network along with two for profit companies.

The Post also reported that NAN's financial woes are stemming from unpaid federal payroll taxes including interest and penalties which equal to more than $880,000. This also includes two lawsuits which were paid out totally $100,000.
There is still money owed of an amount of $206,252 in loans to Sharpton's for-profit Bo-Spanky Consulting Inc. and Sharpton Media LLC, the records show.
