Regardless of how Anna Nicole Smith, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis lived their lives, we did not hear such cruel and cold remarks coming from many white Christians, if they were, they were very quiet about it. Still today, Anna Nicole Smith, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis are still lifted up as though they deserve such respect, no matter how they allegedly overdosed on drugs and sinfully lived their lives. This is what we allegedly heard while listening to the Janet Mefferd radio show, she coldly talked about L. L. Cool J. leading a prayer and making an alleged statement about her death being caused by sin. Have we heard much of that sort of talk about the names mentioned above whom are white? Have we even heard white Christians talk bad about how Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan's allegedly indulged in sinful affairs while using drugs? For some odd reason, many white Christians do not seem to rebuke their own race, but they feel they have the right to rebuke the African American race who has contributed much of their talent since the times of the civil rights movement. We feel many white Christians are bias just like their own race within the secular world and have no right to be. Would God place Anna Nicole Smith, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis in heaven and place Whitney Houston in hell? What type of God is Janet Mefferd serving? God is not bias and neither should Christians of any race be. After Whitney Houston spent much of her life, struggling to cope with her own personal issues just like the average white woman or white man in Hollywood while giving her best in music and movies, she does not deserve such ridicule from white America, whether they be in Hollywood or among white Christians. Therefore, Janet Medferd's bias statement seems to be no different from those whom do not know Jesus Christ and have no affiliation with Christianity like Celine Dion. As for L. L. Cool J. saying a prayer, thank God someone had sense enough to pray for God's strength and maybe, this may just cause people to turn their lives around and repent.
Another thing, sin has been all over America for years and it has not been just African Americans who have sinned. Therefore, Whitney Houston's memory should never be disrespected as though God could never love her and only love those like Anna Nicole Smith, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan much more. You see, this is what happens after such great black women like Whitney Houston have shared their gift to America and across the world, those who claim to be diverse and are for all women are not and judge African American women much worse.
Another point, when Michael Jackson died he had way more supporters of all races than Whitney Houston, even though there were some African Americans who talk about his alleged drug overdose. We did not hear many white Christians putting down his memory. This is a double standard, no doubt, because he allegedly lightened his skinned, kissed up to a lot of white people as though they were God and sold His soul to the Devil, according to Angelica Zambrano (read about her testimony at AToast2Wealth.com blog) who saw him burning in eternal hell during her tour, there. Therefore, this goes for Janet Mefferd or any other white Christian who claims they are so diversed and in unity with African Americans, it is a sin to be bias within the Kingdom of God. In God's Word, He says a false balance is an abomination (Proverbs 11:1). You cannot claim to love African Americans, but show more concern for your own race and not point out their flaws in the media. God created all of us and there should be no difference even within the body of Christ among whites and blacks, but it seems like we cannot get beyond such discrimination. Possibly, it is because God is calling for more African Americans to start caring about their own race and stop worshiping white people, even in the church and within the body of Christ. Because of Janet Mefferd's cold remark, we refuse to ever waste anymore time listening to what she has to say.
We feel this nonchalance among many white Americans is a wake up call and God is looking for black people to seek Him and no longer get so focused on sharing our talent among those whom once enslaved our ancestors and are not grateful after we are go on to glory.
We love and respect Whitney Houston's memory and we will not unite with those whom carry the demon of hypocrisy. We pray for Bobbi Cristina and Cissy Houston and Whitney rest in peace.
