According to Atlanta channel 2, Bishop Eddie long's empire seems to be on the way to dwindling away.   Since the filed lawsuits from various young men who accused Bishop Long of sexual misconduct and his wife's alleged file for divorce, there seems to be documented sources that reveal the future does not look as great as the past.   Allegedly, his staff refuses to reveal their annual audit for the tithes, offerings and love gifts given to the ministry.

Senator Grassley of Iowa was the politician who gave details regarding previous investigations of famous ministers who lived lavish lifestyles, which was Paula and ex-husband Randy White, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Kenneth and Glordia Copeland, Creflo and Taffi Dollar and Bishop Eddie Long.   Now, he says the Bishop Eddie Long's staff refusal to show information, regarding his financial information obviously shows a red flag.   According to MSNBC, others whom refused to reveal financial documents to Senator Grassley was not only Bishop Eddie Long, but also Paula and ex-husband Randy White, Benny Hinn, Kenneth and Glordia Copeland, Creflo and Taffi Dollar.   Senator Grassley made an alleged statement to the press, admitting there is nothing wrong with anyone being wealthy, it is how you receive wealth that is the issue and in the case, prosperity preachers maybe receiving their wealth the wrong way.

 Bishop Eddie Long's divorce to Vanessa Long may reveal details, regarding his financial assets.   Now, this may even explain why Bishop Eddie Long and his staff may have allegedly tried to stop Vanessa Long from leaving New Birth Missionary Baptist Church as the first lady, they do not want financial documents to be revealed to Senator Grassley and the IRS.  The Internal Revenue Service has also been trying to look into the financial documents of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, including Bishop Long's assets, allegedly.   At least a half a dozen of New Birth's staff allegedly replied they have not seen an audit, according to our source.

Bishop Eddie Long has been under fire for more than a year. He's been embroiled in at least eight lawsuits, was investigated by Congress and he lives a lavish lifestyle that has drawn admiration and criticism.

Still, in the past few months Long's financial empire has shown signs of weakness. Now with his megachurch showing financial strain and his wife filing for divorce, Long's finances are under the microscope.

Long became pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in DeKalb County in 1987. Since then, the church has grown into a mega-church with thousands of members and was once worth nearly $100 million. Channel 2's Jodie Fleischer started looking into Long's assets more than six months ago. She found very little paperwork because the church and its dozens of affiliated companies file very few public documents.
