Lelia Boroughs Donates Home to Homeless; Could Churches and Mega Ministries Please Care About The Homeless Like This True Saint?

We know this kind and considerate soul, Lelia Boroughs is truly resting in peace.  Lelia Borough owned a condo in San Francisco's lower Pacific Heights, but had no family to leave it to.   She told her attorney to make sure the homeless would be able to stay on the property that would become a homeless, after she died.  Saints of God, could we get all of these churches and mega ministries whom are operated by rich and some famous pastors to build homeless shelters like Lelia Boroughs?  We always hear prosperity preachers always trying to pump money out of people, although they may not have it, but when is the last time we heard one testify of how God blessed them to build a homeless shelter?

In God's Word, it says: Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you (Matthew 25:34-40)?  God's people, whether they be the head of the church or those within the pews are responsible for taking care of those whom are homeless.  We are not to make mockery and through out sarcastic remarks, like 'like they should find a job' or 'they are homeless because they are lazy', we are suppose to do God's work and save enough money to build up homeless shelters, feed and clothe the homeless.   Historically, the church has been known just to care for people's spiritual needs, but God desires for born again Christians to be like Lelia Boroughs even while they live.   The church, including mega ministries are obligated to care for the poor.   Many of you may be thinking whom are not employed as a pastor maybe thinking you can hardly care for yourself, but God wants those whom are in the pews to request for their pastors whom are making six and seven figures monthly to create homeless shelters.

One of the main reasons why there are so many problems within many churches and mega ministries, is because they fail to share their wealth with those whom are homeless.   The homeless should get just as much attention as the youth whom are bringing in millions of dollars through hip hop gospel entertainment.   God is not pleased with the lack of interest among the clergy of many churches and mega ministries.  We have got too many celebrity preachers and not enough of them have built homeless shelters.   We have got too many celebrity preachers who are concentrating on keeping up with the next hip hop gig and not enough of them have walked the streets and witnessed to the poor.  We have got too many celebrity preachers and whom are focusing on trying to make sure they attract the most members whom are in the position to give thousands, so they maintain their rich lifestyle.   Many of these pastors of popular churches have not even given it a thought to gather homeless people from off the streets where they can escape crime.   So you see there are several factors, the homeless just do not need to rest, east, keep warm and a proper hygiene, they need to be safe from crime.   The homeless are worst off than many residents whom are indoors, because there have been reports of how they get beat up on for no reason.

Lelia Boroughs seem to care, because it has been said this true saint of God was always allowing the homeless to sit on the ledge of her building.   She would have a conversation with them and often cared about how much they struggled to survive.   Could churches and mega ministries not only care about the homeless, but will we ever see them build shelters for them stay in and also feed and clothe them?

Elderly woman's will leaves home to the homeless.

By Joe Rosato Jr.
Lelia Boroughs, 84, wasn’t known to many. At least not outside her apartment building in San Francisco’s lower Pacific Heights.

Her neighbors knew her well as an eclectic, kind soul who would offer to pick up their groceries and feed the homeless who squatted on the ledges outside her apartment.

"She understands how hard it is by herself,” said neighbor Irinia Khokhlova. “It’s not easy to handle in the city… so she was that kind of person.”

Before Boroughs died last September, she told her attorney she had no family to whom to leave her estate. She crafted her will to leave her 525 square foot condo...Read full article, here.
