Video: SEC Accuses Former CEO Ephren Taylor of Bilking New Birth Members: The Failure of the Black Church To Discern Evil

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission charged Ephren Taylor for allegedly cheating church members of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and various of other churches out of millions of dollars.  Ephren Taylor has been known to promise wealth to many church people whom trusted their pastor who presented this man's strategic plan to promise them millions in return.

We question the pastors and bishops like Bishop Eddie Long who trusted this man and believed in his scam.  If they were not so quick to allow him to promote his illegal operation, then many of their church members would not have been scammed out of their money.   Anyone who is truly a child of God can read the spirit of this man, he does not seem like a man of integrity when we look at him.  It is not just how he looks, it is his spirit we sense.   God has blessed his children with the gift to discern wickedness and if these prominent church leaders are truly appointed to be in the ministry, then why didn't they listen to the voice of God to block Ephren Taylor from scamming their church members?  Think about it, this is why we have so many confused people in the body of Christ now, simply because their pastors and bishops are not called to minister, but they allegedly manipulate the minds of people to give money, even if it is to pay bills and by doing so, they meet up with con artists like Ephren Taylor whom are doing the same thing.   Eleven million dollars is a lot of money to con out of church members.  There were some who were previous members of New Birth that allegedly admitted they no longer trust Bishop Eddie Long or belong to the church, because he stood behind this man, Ephren Taylor. Bishop Long called him his brother and a friends as seen on this following video.  These specific church members whom spoke on MyFOXAtlanta.com talked about how they gave their life savings and some even lost their homes.

What are we saying is this, God is looking at all of the con artists, not just those like Ephren Taylor, but those whom allegedly conned with him by allowing him to stand before their church members and take their money.   These church members whom lost their money are not financially struggling because of the recession, but because Ephren Taylor allegedly scammed them and because there was no minister to discern his crooked spirit first, now he faces charges while these church members have not gotten their money back.

Is this what the black church does to their own members in the 21st century?   Is this what we are left with when it comes to joining a church and trusting a pastor to not only feed us with spiritual food, but to protect us from evil?   Saints of God, it is time to pray against this demonic spirit that has been flowing so freely throughout sanctuaries.   Ephren Taylor not only allegedly bilked churchgoers, because their pastors also did not discern his spirit before allowing him to speak before them.
