This is an update, regarding the case with Jordan Powers whom at first broke up with her teacher, James Hooker when he got arrested, but now she is back with him. Jordan Powers is now headed for much worse evil, since she has not only rebelled against her mother, but especially God. In God's Word, Ephesians 6:2, it says this: 'Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) It does not matter if Jordan is 18 years old, even grown children are supposed to honor, which means to respect their parents. In this case, Jordan is dishonoring (disrespecting) her mother, Tammie Powers, because she is not humbling herself to honor her wishes for her life. Her mother does not want her to be with this teacher and she is supposed to not only humble herself to back away from this man whom may ruin her life, she is supposed to apologize to her mother on national television. She does not even seem to recognize that her mother's outrage is all because she has lived many years before her and has seen this sort of thing before that has destroyed the lives of many young women. God's wrath will soon be revealed, if Jordon does not completely turn away from this man, because once your mother or father forewarns you about being with someone whom is not good for you, you are supposed to listen and take heed. Then, when she reaps her own sin of rebellion, lust and fornication, she should not expect her mother to be there for her, because she knows better.
Did you know dishonoring your father or mother is the same as being a murderer, a homosexual or even a thief? In God's eyes, sin is sin and a person like Jordan Powers must repent once she has accepted the fact she has done wrong. Of course, this teacher is in trouble with God, which we mentioned in our previous article, but now we are discussing Jordan Power's rebellion. We do not have much more to say, but since we are keeping you up to date, we must inform you that God is not pleased with Jordan Powers getting back together with this teacher who has disrespected her mother, along with herself. Lust is a strong demon and it may feel good to the flesh for a while, but in the long run, it won't last and will lead one's life into corruption and destruction. In the future, Jordan will be much older and God will remind her of rebellion she is showing on national television and she will have to make a choice to accept Jesus Christ into her life.

Jordan Powers, the California teen who made national news when she and her high school teacher moved in together, told local station KOVR that the two are back together after a turbulent few weeks.The 18-year-old broke up with her 41-year-old boyfriend James Hooker after he was arrested earlier this month on charges of sexually abusing a student in 1998. He had previously left his family and his position at James Enochs High School in Modesto, Calif. to live with Powers, who was once one of his business students.
