60 Minutes Reporter Mike Wallace Dead at 93: Another American Legend Passes


Not long ago, 60 Minutes CBS Newscaster Ed Bradley died and now another very successful one, Mike Wallace has died at 93 years old.   Both men were very influential and gave news to America for many years.      Specifically, Mike Wallace was very blessed to live a long life, which is different than the average journalist.   He was born in 1918 and grew up in a time to see many presidents in the White House and witnessed a lot of changes in our government and gave latest news reports about them.  He interviewed many famous and infamous popular people during his years of journalism.  Mike Wallace gave news from different eras of American history.   He revealed various stories from way back when he began his job in the 1951.  Before 1951 after his graduation, he was a radio announcer for commercials and game shows.   The death of Mike Wallace came yesterday on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012.  May he rest in peace.

(CNN) -- Mike Wallace, who spent four decades as a hard-hitting, provocative news correspondent on "60 Minutes," has died, CBS reported Sunday. He was 93.

Wallace died Saturday night "peacefully surrounded by family members at Waveny Care Center in New Caanan, Connecticut, where he spent the past few years," CBS said in a statement.
