Pat Robertson Speaks Out for Marijuana Legalization: Is God Pleased With His Opinion?

We agree with the reporter on this following video, just last week, Pat Robertson was allegedly saying people whom got stuck in the Tornado should have prayed more, but now it is odd to hear him say marijuana should be legalized.   Pat Robertson has always been controversial, but when his comments are not helping our society, we feel possibly he has been on some type of drug or something, because it sounds awkward to hear him support legalization of marijuana.   Of course, we know there are sick people like those on AIDS use marijuana to ease the pain, but if people whom got stuck in the tornado should have prayed more, then so should those on drugs, instead of using it for relief or just enjoyment.  Shame on Pat Robertson and shame on those whom claim to know Jesus Christ that agree with this man.

You see, this is why we are not to follow just any minister of the gospel, just because they claim they are a born again Christian.  The Bible say this, I John 4:6, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this we know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now is already in the world. You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”  Therefore, we are not to follow each and every person whom are ordained ministers neither are we to fellowship with every church that is following a doctrine that is not of God.  We must be very careful whom we listen too.  Although, Pat Robertson is over the 700 club and has revealed many stories and testimonies of miracles and even salvation, we cannot support any ministry that is not fully following the Word of God.  We must think about how God feels about whom we spend time listening to.   Make sure you always follow the holy scriptures and never support anyone whom is supporting sin or something that is very dangerous within our society.   Whenever you hear a minister support something like legalization of drugs, ask yourself, 'how does God feel about this?'   Automatically, God will give you an obvious answer, because anything wrong ought to make you feel strange.

By Dan Gilgoff, CNN.com Belief Blog

(CNN) Televangelist Pat Robertson is raising eyebrows, and cheers from activists who are usually his opponents on political issues, by calling for the legalization of marijuana.

“I really believe we should treat marijuana the way we treat beverage alcohol,” Robertson told The New York Times on Wednesday. “I’ve never used marijuana and I don’t intend to, but it’s just one of those things that I think: this war on drugs just hasn’t succeeded.”

The comments came after Robertson affirmed his support for marijuana decriminalization which he had voiced in 2010 on his TV show...Read full article, here.
